| The ominous school basement where
the play takes place. On stage right the corner of the female teachers'
toilets extends into the space. Menacing wires dangle from above. The
door on stage left (the only entrance/exit) is crudely boarded up.
The basement is a
refuge, a lair, a prison.
Schoolboys Fish (Kevin Trainor) and Leto (Alex
Waldmann) spy on Ms Correa as she uses the teachers' toilets. The boys
enjoy watching her and later they try to assault her. Terrified of what
they have done they return to the basement to hide, living there for
many days. |
