SYNOPSIS
Despite her being
always at the point of abandoning such extreme behaviour, a plain family mother
becomes a serial killer almost purposelessly and as a result of a most unusual
deed: she terminates a neighbour of hers in cold blood, with a blunt
bread-knife, and in the presence of countless witnesses. Her three
children will endeavour to set up a strategic plan to free her of the crime’s
liability. This plan will be undermined by two elements: the mother herself
brings home a policeman with whom she has started a romantic attachment, and to
crown it all she commits murder again, even more brutally than before. At this
point, her grown-up children will be compelled to incorporate the policeman in
their plan, using him as their mother’s alibi. The plan is rehearsed and then
carried out somehow successfully. But at the same time the plan is being
developed we find out that the policeman has been investigated by justice and he
is being chased, out of lesser misdemeanours. A special command surrounds the
house. A sudden raid occurs, during which the daughter gets killed and one of
the sons is taken as a hostage. Despite the geometric progression in which the
initial catastrophe grows, the final result comes to appear as a happy end.
The complexity of
the plot includes a suicide assistance service, children devastatingly tormented
by the irrationality of their homework, construction of parallel plans destined
to fail, trigonometric strategies aimed at hiding corpses, a mentally retarded
witness, a rock band rehearsal, and the collision of a helicopter into the house
roof.
