Born
in Buenos Aires, in 1970, his many prizes and stagings all over the
world make of him a clear representative of the new generation of
playwrights in Argentina. He begins his studies as an actor, but soon afterwards dedicates himself to playwriting as well. Among his teachers we can mention playwright Mauricio Kartun and director Ricardo Bartis. Since
1995 he has also worked as a director, mostly taking works written by
himself to the stage, and occasionally personal adaptations of texts by
other playwrights. He has also attended the Arts Career at the Faculty of Philosophy and Literature of the University of Buenos Aires, but he quit his formal studies in 1996 to fully dedicate to theatre. |

He has also attended seminars with Spanish playwright José Sanchís Sinisterra, both in Buenos Aires and Barcelona; he was then awarded the scholarship by “El Teatro Fronterizo” (Sala Beckett of Barcelona) to participate of the course “New Tendencies in ” held in October, November and December, 1995. In July and August, 1998, he was chosen by the British Council and the Royal Court Theatre of London to partake of the Summer International Residency annually organized by the aforementioned theatre. In 2000 he joins the team of playwrights of the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg, for which he works on a fix basis as a commissioned writer. |
