“…
Last year when I criticised a work by GBH, we pointed out that he was a director
where restlessness and talent combined with an efficient knowledge
of the office who goes deeply into the psychology of human creatures,
creating a climate with an appropriate rhythm. These considerations were made
about an intimate play: “El Eclipse”. The debut of his adaptation of “Pasión
y Muerte de Silverio Leguizamon” overcomes, exceeds what was said. We are in
the presence of a Director with a huge sense of popular, public performance
organization. We should take into consideration that he puts ninety men on
scene: There are horses running on stage and everything goes ablaze with fire.
He skilfully dominates the difficulties present in open air performances. All
is resolved with such precision that makes the spectator enjoy all the scenes,
supported with very good sound and light effects …we think that it is the best
scenic setting of this summer…” Norma
Dumas, Seven Days Magazine, 27-2-70.- For
forty years GBH, as a Director, has designed the settings of more than a hundred
plays, belonging to the national and universal drama .Only as an author there
are more than thirty plays directed by him ( Check Author). |
