Actual Argentores
vice-secretary
“A
theatre man”, is the definition he prefers.
“
He is a born expressionist”. It is true, all his productions are tinged with
expressionism.
He is an unrepentant constructor “He is always planning, projecting new
enterprises. He always justifies himself saying: “Projecting is dreaming,
who can imagine an artist who doesn’t dream?.
For more than thirty years he has devoted to the theatre and has deal
with several theatrical disciplines.
As a playwright, he has put on 30 plays, both in Argentina and in other
countries.
He has been an active member of Argentores (Nº 4082), since 1969.
As a dramatist, he has directed more than 100 plays.
For the last thirty years, he has been helping thousands of pupils
improve their acting skills..
As an actor, he appeared in theatre, television and very seldom in the
cinema.
Fifteen
years ago he started developing a new skill: scenoplastics. He designs
the scenography, the stage costumes, masks
and light effects of his performances.
He delivers conferences, talks and organizes workshops in the provinces
and abroad. He is an untiring “facilitator” managing successfully actors
groups who recognize his talent.
He is known by many people as “The Turk Ben Hassan”. He feels he is
a compulsive traveller because since his youth he has enjoyed sharing his
artistic productions with all kinds of spectators in a non-conventional style,
just as Federico García Lorca does in “La Barraca” (The Baracks), who
together with Bertold Brecht and Federico Fellini have always been his great
masters.
Without doubt, visiting the page of GBH, you will discover an amazing
drama creator.
“His teachers had always advised him that being independent, free, and
autonomous would cause him
trouble, specially working in a non-conformist way. He would not be recognized
officially and consequently not receive the economic support needed for his
projects.”
“He always knew that
freedom has high costs, he assumed
this with courage and the results he obtained were the rewards of a life of
dedication. He took the hard way, coherence and ethics. He was always faithful
to his beliefs, never ignoring treachery. Like all men of iron convictions,
things were not easy. You may disagree with him but, for sure, it can never be
said that GBH is not a passionate professional, who makes the most of his
creative qualities with honesty and seriousness. This has been proved today…”
(Onofre
Llovero, BS.AS.1994, debut of “La casa de Bernarda
Alba”).
